Constanta is the most important port of Romania, and also one of the first urban settlements documented located in the territory of our country. Although most tourists visit the city during the summer, in order to enjoy a few days on the seashore, the multisecular history of Constanta represents a great advantage for those who want to visit the city during other periods of the year. Some of the most important tourist attractions in Constanta are: the Casino from Constanta, the Museum of National History and Archeology and the Art Museum.
The Casino from Constanta is certainly the most emblematic symbol of the city. Even though this building is in degradation, it still manages to attract an impressive number of tourists due to the beauty of the Art Nouveau architectural style. Any tourist who visits Constanta, even for a single day, should see this tourist attraction, and of course not miss the chance to take pictures on the Casino's cliff.
History lovers must not miss the Museum of National History and Archeology, which houses invaluable exhibits such as "The Thinker of Hamangia" and "The Glikon Snake".
In the Art Museum of the city, tourists can admire the works of some of Romania's most famous artists such as: Nicolae Grigorescu, Theodor Aman, Theodor Pallady, Gheorghe Petrascu, etc. Being the second most important art museum, after the one in Bucharest, the Art Museum in Constanta will pleasantly surprise the tourists who will cross its threshold.
